During the winter months, McLean Maintenance exclusively focuses attention on providing the most prompt and effective methods of clearing snow and controlling icy conditions on Commercial, Industrial, Corporate Office, and Government parking lots and walkways. McLean Maintenance take a proactive approach to snow and ice management, well before the snow hits the pavement-we work with you to formulate a snow and ice management plan custom tailored to your site.
Our committed staff of industry experts are fully trained and experienced on the safe operation of our late model fleet of plow trucks, salt trucks and heavy equipment, including on-site troubleshooting and safety. When a storm is imminent, we're on the job 24/7, monitoring meteorological data and standing by with the necessary equipment and manpower to handle anything Mother Nature can throw at us.
We understand the challenges associated with being fully operational during the winter's worst weather. Your custom tailored winter services solution may include any combination of the following services which best suit your particular site and operational requirements. We would be more than happy to discuss your particular needs in detail and provide you with a no-obligation proposal for snow and ice management services. References from existing satisfied clients, as well as proof of our extensive liability insurance and WSIB coverage are also available at your request.
McLean Maintenance uses 4x4 plow trucks, skid steers, large agricultural tractors with plows, and front end loaders with plows to quickly and efficiently clear accumulated snow from parking areas, driveways and roadways, and shipping areas.
Our sidewalk crews efficiently clear snow from walkways, stairways, emergency exits, between parking stops and curbs, inside and around shopping cart corrals, and also address snow sitting on canopies in front of doorways on their visit to your site. Efficient walkway clearing is accomplished with shovels and walk behind snow blowers. We provide and restock (as required) weatherproof on-site storage boxes with whichever de-icing material we assess is most appropriate for your needs. McLean Maintenance has dedicated salt trucks to quickly and efficiently address icy conditions on your property. De-Icing is generally preformed after snow plowing events, during freezing rain events or smaller accumulations to restore safe site conditions. Anti-Icing is performed prior to eventful weather to help prevent the formation of ice underneath any accumulated snow.
Accumulated piles may have to be pushed back onto green-spaces, relocated, or completely removed off site depending on site volumes. This can be accomplished with loaders or truck and loader combination.
McLean Maintenance will monitor your site daily to quickly address any potentially hazardous situations like frozen run-off from piled snow, frozen puddles, slippery surfaces caused by thawing roof drains, and/or snow blowing off of rooftops etc. Our snow patrol monitors and documents the weather and site conditions in our service area and also makes the first call to bring in the troops should a freak storm come through unexpectedly in the middle of the day or night. Aside from a properly executed snow and ice management plan, McLean Maintenance understands the importance of keeping meticulous records of your property's conditions and the services performed maintaining them. Having McLean Maintenance in charge of managing your property's snow and ice is the best defence against unsafe conditions. Lawsuits and slip and fall claims are becoming more prevalent and having the right contractor on the job gives owners and property managers piece of mind.
